This week we hired a yogi to come to the house at 6 pm and teach us yoga up on the roof top terrace. Last night was the first night and it was way cool. I'm sore today, suprisingly. There was a lot of it I couldn't do because my knees, elbows and shoulders are really painful. But afterwards, I had a little chat with him because he asked why I wasn't doing it all. He told me tonight he will give me special instructions and exercises to help with my RA.
I also bought an 8 metal bracelet in Mc Leod Gange that is supposed to help reduce symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. It was only 40 rupees!!!! And I've always wanted one of these. (That's less than a dollar, btw).
So I asked the yogi about it and he confirmed that these bracelets are very effective. He warned me though not to eat "non - veg" with RA. I told him I don't anyway. He told me that I also need to continue practicing yoga everyday once I get back to the US to be cured. Funny thing is and I told him....... I know he's right, because it's worked before. I told him I was very glad to meet him and that this will give me a jump start into practicing again.
We are doing "deep relaxation" tonight he told us. We're all pretty psyched about that.
P.S. Classes are 200 rupees a night, per person (that's about 5$) but our house father, Bobby, is paying half for each of us, so it's only about 2.50$. Ttly worth it.
Love, Janelle
