Facing the Indian Toilet

So last trip I spent 4 months here and almost entirely avoided these (except for the 1 time on the train to Pushkar). Last night I was dreadfully forced to use this........twice. Emergencies both. It was as awful as you can imagine. So when you think your bathroom isn't clean... omg.And if you were wondering how to "flush"... See bucket of water below. Btw, this is also the Indian version of "toilet paper". Dear god, no I did not go that route. Always carry in your purseAnd if this wasn't bad enough the route to and from the toilet. Anyway.... I had to use someone's cell phone flashlight to get down here and back in the dark. Mini culture check for me, because before I went down I asked the guy, "Is it a real toilet?" and he replied "Yes" it was a real toilet. I get there and am like "Omg this is so NOT a real toilet!"

Back in Mc Leod

Bahaaaaa what a dork~! In case you haven't noticed - well maybe haven't because I have only posted a few. But people here are ALWAYS asking to have their picture taken with us. This guy I couldn't resist because of his shirt.
Melissa's man on the left. And his cousin on the right. They are cooking us dinner tonight in the shop - lol. Making paneer (no correander) for us! Awesome. They are from Kashmir, but work in India for 10 months out of the year. I chatted with the cousin last night and I asked him where his house was here. He said they sleep in the shop. I'm like, "Are you serious?" He proceeded to tell me "yes", and that they also cook in the shop, etc. etc. Sooooo........tonight should be interesting.
We each bought some earrings for 50 rupees from this lovely Tibetan woman.
